I am pleased to offer this Vintage Wolverine Tin Wind Up No. 27 Drum Major! This entertaining toy stands at about 13″ H, and is dressed is Marching garb. In his green hands he holds two matching green drum sticks above his marching drum.
When you wind-up this guy, just flick the switch to “start”, and you’ll hear the internal gear work come to life as he begins to drum (plays an actual drum pattern)! This is the round base model, with the feet imprinted on the base.
Back of the drummer’s neck is marked: ” No. 27 Drum Major Made by Wolverine Supply & MFG Co. Pittsburgh, PA.” There is also a patent but it is hard to make out.

This Drum Major is in fairly good condition considering its age! There is heavy spotting of discoloration to the litho, mostly on the front half of the toy. The litho still remains bright and colorful.Some light rust on the underside of the base. There is some scratching throughout, mostly minor with a couple of large ones. Tested and works great! Overall, excellent display quality!
