1950’s Asheville NC Spring Carnival Royalty Court Photo

I am pleased to offer a vintage photo taken in Asheville, North Carolina in the 1950’s.  This image measures 7″ X 9″ and features the royalty from the Spring Carnival sponsored by the PTA.  The king, queen, and court are seated on a stage marked “DM” at the top.  This photo is accompanied by a newspaper clipping that lists the names of all people pictured, plus a nice description of the carnival.  The king and queen are Dickie Shephard and Kay Marshall.  The back of the photo is stamped “Juanita Wilson, Photographer, Asheville, NC”.

This photo is in good condition with a clear image.  The edges appear to have been trimmed, but this does not effect the display.  The newspaper clipping is in two pieces, and both have the remnants of tape along the edges plus a few tears.  Still a nice vintage piece from the Asheville area.
