1889 Antique-Grand Complimentary Ball Invitation – Rare
I am pleased to offer this Rare Antique Invitation Ticket to the Grand Complimentary Ball held in Williamstown, VA on December 13th, 1889. This ticket states that the full bill, including railroad fare was $2, and the complimentary ball was for “B.F. Dunham, landlord of the Gulf Spring House and also the Hubbard House, recently burned at Williamsburg.” This ticket is protected by plastic and is in good condition. There is rounding of the corners but the paper lays flat. There is only a small crease in the top right corner, and the left side. The back, right side has a light smudge. This piece of paper has survived over 120 years and is still legible and good condition. This piece came from a smoke and odor free environment.
The paper measures approx. 5-3/4″ inches wide x 3-1/4″ tall
