  • Early 1930s Captain Campbell’s Blue Bird Record Car.
  • Based on the Campbell-Napier-Railton Blue Bird, which hit two lands peed records 1931/1932. Malcolm Campbell was knighted for the first in 1931, and was the first to pass 250mph (400 km/h) in 1932
  • This toy was the proud possession of a young boy in the 30s, and it is even marked on the underside “Property of Ian Leonard”.

Description

Fair/Good. Body shows some mild scratching throughout as well as scattered oxidation. Original Paint remains at about 80% g/t. There are some paint touch ups and scratch small scratch fills, large sections on the rear bottom edges. Decals are intact but largely faded. Original Driver intact and in good shape. Wheels show heavy crazing and mild loss to paint. Spring drive is functioning, starts a little slow but builds over distance. No key included
