Rare Antique Arcade Cast Iron Monocoupe #355 Toy Airplane 8-1/2″ Wingspan VG

I am pleased to offer this Antique “The Monocoupe” Cast Iron Airplane #355 made by Arcade.  This great example of early 20th century cast iron aircraft was made by the famous Arcade Toy Company.  With a black single cast body, orange steel wing, and nickel landing gear/propeller gear this beauty will stand out in your collection.  “The Monocoupe” is found in raised lettering behind the wing.  On the left side of the plane you can see the remnants of an Arcade Toy sticker.  Underneath the tail wing the plane is marked “355 Arcade”.

This Monocoupe # 355 is in Very Good condition for its age, showing some mild scratching to the wheels and around the edges of the body. Very mild loss to the original paint.  Moderate oxidation is present on the nickel section of the plane (prop, landing gear, etc) as well as the tail section.  Wheels spin smoothly when the plane is moved
