Very rare black and white photograph showing a Boy Scout Troop from India.

The large group includes 41 Indian men and boys.  The older men are all wearing head gear, while the younger boys in front are not.

About half of the men and boys in the photo are wearing some type of flower leis.  The flag behind the group reads “RAMA TROOP, C.H. School”.

The bottom of the photograph is handwritten with the text “Mr. P. H. (illegible, but may be Kunzru), The Organizing Commissioner, SSBSA with Benares Boy Scouts 1923”.

SSBSA stands for Seva Samiti Boy Scouts Association.

This interesting image was taken outside, in front of a large elaborate building.

The image measures 5-3/4″ X 7-3/4″ and has been mounted on a card with total measurements of 7″ X 9″.
