I am pleased to offer this Vintage Memorial Display! 

This display honors a William J. Taylor: Spanish-American War Veteran, and Officer (Badge #66) in the St. Petersburg, Florida Police. 

The memorial display box has a glass window, and comes with a large Cabinet Card Portrait of Mr. Taylor in his Police uniform (marked by Alhambra of St. Pete), his original Discharge Papers from the Spanish-American War (dated 1899), and the receipt for his funeral expenses (dated 1945). 

Mr. Taylor enrolled at 19 years old in the Sixth Regiment of the United States Volunteers in July of 1898, a served until March of 1899 when he was mustered out.  He was a Member of the St. Pete Police from 1925 to 1940, when he retired.  He passed away in 1945 at the age of 65.

Description

This memorial display is in good condition. The cabinet card shows some light edge wear and some light staining around the edges. The antique discharge document shows some moderate edge wear and light staining as well. The discharge document also shows two creases from being previously folded. The display case shows some mild edge wear from display.
