Vintage 1954 Sammy Kaye Signed Personal Letter & Envlp

Vintage Sammy Kaye signed personal letter and envelope dated October 1, 1954.  Typed on genuine “Swing and Sway With Sammy Kaye” stationary and signed “Sammy” in blue ink.  Letter reads:

Dear Harold:  Once again we are coming to your area to play an engagement at the Roseland Ballroom in Taunton, Mass. on Saturday October 9, 1954.  We would be ever so grateful for any additional Swing and Sway spins you can give us, particularly on our current release “Sentimental”.  We would love to have you come out to the Ballroom as my guest, so we can spend a little time together.  Until I see you, thanks for all your help which is greatly appreciated.  Sincerely, Sammy”.

This letter is addressed to Mr Harold Clark, at Station WEAN, Crown Hotel, Providence, Rhode Island.

Letter and envelope in good condition considering age.  Letter was folded for original mailing.  Paper shows a few wrinkles and one small 1/2″ tear at bottom edge.  Envelope addressed and marked “Personal” in red, and is postmarked “New York, NY Oct -1 ’54” with a 3 cent mark.  Envelope has aged nicely in color and shows some light marks but is complete and intact.
