Official U.S. D.o.D Release Rolling Fluid Transporter

I am pleased to offer this Vintage Official U.S. Department of Defense Press Release on the “Rolling Fluid Transport” from December 27, 1956.  This release details about the joint invention by the US Rubber company and the Transportation Corps.  This transport was designed to improve the transportation of bulk fluids (fuel, water, oil).  Along with the release are 4 photos of the transport being tested and in use.

This release came in a binder along with a letter from the U.S. Coast Guard to the United States Rubber Company, approving a test run of a 25-man life raft after its trails, and requesting printed instructions, and sole specifications to prevent the use by any other source.  Binder is marked “Renegotiation Report 1956”

This press release and the other items included are in good condition, showing minimal wear from age.
