  • Very cool Antique Ambrotype Photograph
  • Man in top hat sits with wife, slightly tinted cheeks and jewlery
  • Style is relievo, with original lacquer only behind the subjects.  however, the scratching of the background was a bit crude and the paper has been replaced.  The original may have been stylized modernly.
  • Original brass mat and preserver, with glass
  • Leather * wood case with geometric design, imprinted velvet interior pad
  • 1/6th plate in size. 
  • Great addition for your collection!

Description

Fair overall condition. Some mild dust and loose lacquer are on the image/inside the glass. The lacquer is worn and chipping. White paper background has been previously replaced. Brass mat and preserver show some mild spots of patina. Leather case has a repaired spine and shows some mild wear on the exterior.
