1893 Columbian Exhibition World’s Fair Full Metal Plate Landing of Columbus

$235.00

  • A very interesting and unusual Piece
  • Although I am not 100% confident, through my research and many discussions with collectors and colleagues I have come to believe that these panels were made as souvenirs / gifts for the 1893 Columbian World Exhibition.
  • It is a copper sheet which was used to make an embossed copy of the famous “Landing of Columbus” Whole Plate Thermoplastic Case (Berg 1-1)
  • Dark bronze finish applied to the front
  • Measures approx. 10-3/8″ x 8-1/2″
  • Nice addition to any World’s Fair or Photography Case Collection!
