  • Very interesting and historic Cabinet Card Photograph
  • This is a campaign Photograph, Created and likely circulated in number in New York City during the election.
  • The photograph is of Republican Presidential Candidate James G. Blaine. He was nominated in 1884 as the Republican candidate for President, and ran against the democrat Grover Cleveland.  He narrowly lost.
  • The back of the card has a break down of the Electoral College, and how many votes each state gets (at the time, the total was 401)
  • The rest of the back is a large advertisement for “White Vaseline”, by the Chesebrough Manuf’g Co., 24 State Street, New York. 
  • Measures approx. 4-1/4″ x 6-7/16″
  • Great addition to any collection!
