Ayers Pills Medicine Advertising Pill Trade Litho Card

Vintage pill trade advertising card for Ayers Pills.  Front of card features colorful litho picture of a soldier on a white horse caring a flag that reads “Ayers Pills”.  Picture portrays a rather bloody battlefield scene.  The Ayers Pills soldier is obviously winning the battle.  Bottom front of card reads “The Fight For The Standard”.  Back of card reads:  The Fight For The Standard is over, and it is universally acknowledged that Ayer’s Pills are the only standard cathartic medicine of the age.  The disorders which they are designed to cure include Constipation or Costiveness, Indigestions, Dyspepsia, Biliousness, Heartburn, Loss of Appetite, Flatulency, Foul Stomach, Nausea, Dizziness, Headache, Numbness, Jaundice, Diarrhea, Dysentery, and Disorders of the Liver.  Eruptions and Skin Diseases, and Piles, when the result of Indigestions or Constipation, are cured by the use of Ayer’s Pills.  These pills are often, also, the best remedy for Rheumatism, Gout, Neuralgia, Dropsy, and Kidney Complaints.  In colds, they operate beneficially by opening the pores, removing inflammatory secretions, and allaying fever.  Card measures 4 3/4″ X 2 5/8″.

Card in good condition with litho still nice and colorful.  Small crease/tear on side.  Back shows a small spot of tag removal and color aging of paper.  Sold as-is.
