Very good overall condition. Frame shows minor wear / light scuffing on edges from age and storage. The frame remains sealed, on the visible areas of the postcard there are 2 medium sized creases and some tape on the corners. Photo remains clear.

  • The Handsome gent stands in full uniform in the studio of photographer Isaac Erb & Son, St. John N.B.
  • The RPPC is heald in a lovely gold painted wood frame with a beveled white mat
  • The rear of the frame is marked:
  • “Written on back of Postcard – 12-14-1915 – Lloyd Ivan Thompson – Canadian Expidionary (sic) Force 115th Battalion – St. John N.B. Can. – #742136 Dog Tag
  • Frame measures approx. 6-7/8″ x 9-1/8″ x 5/8″

Searching to verify in the Library and Archives of Canada – I did find a Lloyd Ivan Thompson from Milltown NB who enlisted on Dec. 22 of 1915.  Regimental # is 742136, 116th Battalion CEF
