  • Photograph of famous Operatic Soprano Singer Euphrosyne Parepa-Rosa (1836-1874)
  • Parepa traveled to the USA from Britain in 1865, and was married to Carl Rosa, a violinist, in 1867. They founded the Parepa-Rosa English Opera Company in New York City, which became quite popular as it introduced opera to places in the US that not seen it. 
  • in 1870 they traveled back to Britain, and She died from illness in 1874.
  • Marked by Publisher George Stinson & Co., of Portland, Maine 
  • measures approx. 2-3/8″ x 4″

Good overall condition. Light discoloration on the image and some minor scratching/edge wear to the image and card. Mild silvering.
