  • Nice 1850s Daguerreotype of a Little Girl
  • The unhappy face of the girl tells a story of its own, as she clearly was upset.
  • She stands on a chair next to a small table in her beautiful dress, her hair curled.
  • Unfortunately, an amateur tended to this image and “restored” it, but luckily they did not hurt it too badly and at least resealed it.  Still displays quite nicely.
  • Geometric brass mat, with glass and preserver.
  • Geometric leather/wood Case with decorated velvet pad. Detached lid.
  • 1/6th Plate size

Description

Good overall condition. Has been previously been cleaned and resealed (not by me!). Mild evident scratching on the image with two moderate scrapes to the image and some spots of discoloration. A couple of small fingerprint marks can be seen as well. Brass mat/preserver show light patina. Case has a detached lid and shows mild exterior wear to the leather.
