Vintage 1930’s Schuco Tumbling Clockwork Mouse Toy

Vintage Schuco Tumbling Mouse Clockwork Tinplate Figure circa 1930’s.  Wind key (included) and acrobatic somersault mouse figure tumbles over and over.  

Made from tinplate covered in grey velveteen with wool felt hands, feet, and ears.  Dressed in red felt shorts with black stitched nose and tin eyes.  Measures 4″ in length.

Schuco was founded in Nuremberg, Germany in 1912.  The company produced small felt and plush covered mechanical tinplate toys, including animals, walking soldiers, clowns, and other figures.

Missing one wool cover on one foot and one hand but piece works and displays well and would make a fun addition to any collection.
