Antique 1911 Tobacco St Louis Browns Baseball Cigarette Card George Stone

Early Sweet Caporal Cigarettes Tobacco Baseball Card of St. Louis Browns outfielder George Stone.  Back of card states information about Stone’s history until 1910.  Card reads in part “George Stone, the hard-hitting outfielder of the St. Louis Americans, has missed few games since he has been on their payroll, except in 1909.”.

Rendering on front of card in color with player in tan with yellow and blue background.  Small worn area near players uniform with light wear around edges.  Slight fading of blue background.  Front marked “Stone St. Louis Amer.” under player picture.  Printing on back in red is faded but mostly legible.  Bottom of back marked “Base Ball Series 400 Designs, Sweet Caporal Cigarettes, The Standard For Years, Factory No 42 4th Dist NC”.  Shows a few light creases.  Measures 2 5/8″ X 1 3/8″.
