Antique 19th Century ribbon, likely from a regional convention.

Ribbon is a pretty blue silk  with gold colored lettering. 

Text on ribbon says “1830-1899 – Albert E. Spitz – Exempt – Fireman’s Association – Rochester, NY – at – East Bloomfield – New York. “

Rear top where the pin is mounted is marked by Whitehead & Hoag in gold lettering.

On the bottom rear is a rare printed advertising label card for Whitehead & Hoag

Description

Good overall condition considering age and fragility. Ribbon is 98% intact, with some light loss to the threads along the bottom edge. There are some mild spots of staining across the front. Pin remains firmly affixed to the top of the ribbon. Advertising card remains firmly affixed to the rear bottom. Displays very well.
